He may not be on main stream, though he commands mainstream attention. He is the indie artist known as J’Sun.

Earlier this year he released his first original single on iTunes titled “Impossible”. The single drew some attention from loyal fans in the Youtube world and a few in Tweettown. Though on iTunes it did not break any sound barriers.

On August 13, 2012 the “Impossible” became visible. This was a joint project created by, A Martin Landgreve Film, Produced by MadisonLST, and a bit of Styling by Yusef Williams and J’Sun.

When this track was first release I was hooked. The message of the song was powerful, easy to listen to and commanded radio play.
After watching the video I concur my original thoughts of the song.

Though I was a bit thrown by the scene in the grave yard, as I did not find a connection with this scene.

The video was put togther well and sends a message to the music world that J’Sun has talent and his fans agree. Looking over the comments from his You Tube channel it is clear he has a dedicated following.

Best wishes to you J’Sun,

A versatile story teller with powerful lyrics fervent with allegory, Nando Chang cascades styles and topics across all genres with a multicultural perspective. Born in Chiclayo, Peru Fernando Chang was raised by his grandmother of Chinese decent while awaiting permanent residency sort by his parents in the USA. During this time of innocence, a young Nando became chiclayano.

The official video of international recording artist Nando Chang aka Chiclayano.

The video was shot in Lima,Peru by Lync Films. “Despido” or Dismissal in English is a true story of the rejection and unfulfilled promises that Nando has faced in his journey as an individual and as a Latin kid from Chiclayo,Peru looking to be the next big star from that country. The song takes a bit of controversial turn with his reference to L.A. based Mexican rapper Malverde, whom Nando once held in high esteem before as the song says “malverde never called”. Fervent with truthful lyrics and the beauty of his country on full visual display, Despido truly delivers on a major level.

In December of 2002, Nando Chang immigrated to America. Thru hip-hop, the English language was acquired. Also, during these teen years, Nando Chang became heavily influenced and involved with the speed life. Nando, and his need for speed, is an avid street racer of high powered cars and motor bikes.

As a result, Chiclayano suffered a near death accident in the summer of 2008 in which he fell into a coma for several weeks. The near death experience motivated his speedy recovery, relatively speaking. During rehab (which continues today), while unable to walk, and barely speak, Mr. Chang further developed his craft and love for rap music.

Nando Chang realized his true being and destiny as self awareness was achieved via this out of body experience. Internationally, Nando seeks respect from both music creators and fans alike and is destined to receive both. As a member of the hOLLANDjUNGLE Music group, NandoChang aka “Chiclayano” has developed a unique musical style and category in both English and Spanish languages. With full support from the village, the pride and joy of Chiclayo, Peru NandoChang ….

Being a female in an industry dominated by Men is no easy task. I wanted to shed some light on the Female MC’s releasing Mixtapes, and show that the Ladies can throw down just as good and the Fellas.

He goes by the screen name St Nic on Facebook and according to his information page he has studied at the University of Life (my Alumni). He is the current CEO and President of Devil’s Kitchen Entertainment. His latest video upload gives us a taste of his lyrical wit and style; I like it myself quite much. If you like rap and get the groove of St Nic, become a fan and follow him (Facebook ) as he will take you on a musical journey, not often offered in the current Indie artist community.

Here is his latest video. Enjoy.

About a year ago or so, I discovered the world of Hip Hop in Canada. I will be honest, I was a bit closed minded and looked at music such as hip hop, rap or R&B as being only in the U.S.  (Haaa!) How silly of me.

Canada has a huge Hip Hop Independent Artist community. Artist like “Bad News Brown” may he R.I.P and others created the scene and it has surpassed that of the U.S. version. While many claim that Rap and Hip Hop are dead, that seems to be the contrary in Montreal. Here is a video of the FAMOUS Independent Artist F.R.O.S.T. I do admire his Honesty.

I was not a big fan of the group know as “The Pussy Cat Dolls”. I looked at them as another bubble gum girl group that was all body and face with nothing else. Though I did like a couple; and I do mean couple as in 2, of their songs. When the group went their separate paths, it was no big deal to me.

This interview by VLAD TV with ex-Pussy Cat Doll Melody Thornton, gives light to the subject of Major Label to Independent and what happens to the “Money” train.

The first generation of rap just wanted the world to know, who they were, and what the culture was in their part of the hood. As the years evolved, some changes have been made and the ghetto has more than just a dark skinned face. Now the ghetto looks like any other street, city, town, or block, with a rainbow of colors that walk into and out of the buildings that form the walls.

As I comb through the many messages left on the walls of a face book, or the tweets of a follower, I hear the mood of the music. The signature card floats about, each message and graces almost every page. Does the music forever Make The Mood?

King Issa mixtape Hosted by DJ Holiday

You tell me. I begin with the mixtape of King Issa hosted by DJ Holiday. His tracks take us on a journey that begins with a favorite tale of “David and Golliath”. After a “Tag” we encounter “A hundred ft Gorilla Zoe”. (I am reminded of the book “The Odyssey” http://www.mythweb.com/odyssey/index_ulysses.html ). Moving through the streets paved with lyrics that express a many thoughts we visit with “Dear Mama” ft TC and finish the journey at ‘Arriven”. How befitting. You can stream these songs by following this link. http://www.datpiff.com/Issa-King-Issa-mixtape.301131.html

Or you can download and listen to it on your PC or MP3. Downloading is easy, if you need assistant let me know, I will be glad to blog about it.

It’s good to get a little help from those who have traveled before you.  Here from Bun B’s.

Bun B’s advice for up and coming artists.

Jewell aka Quepea gives an update on some of her tweeter buddies and their latest tracks and videos.

A Young Billionair announces the title track “Bass Knocking” on tweetmysong.com. “A Place Called the Ghetto” is the music on Vanilla Plains, youtube. Prince Gotti shows that “All Dis $$$$” is sizzling hot on ReverbNation. J’Sun is dropping a new single March 27th on i-Tunes and it will be “Impossible” not to become a HIT. Baby B is Coast2Coast dot com with his new single “Pull Up, Hop Out” FT T.I., be sure to cast a vote for this new hot summer jam. BigT aka Chinaman has Sounds in the Clouds now, letting the world hear his “Inner Glow”, and a sample track FT Big Shot, titled “Industry’s A Jaggernaut”. Which is bound to be a city beat bumper. Meanwhile on the other side of Music Tweets the Verified Drummer shows off a “Piano Cover” cover on Youtube and lets everyone know he is multi-talented. If you did not already know it, the artist know as Pries released his mixtape on Hot New Hip Hop, this m.t. Has “No Glue 2” yet it will stick to your mp3 player after you hear the first track. To round things off Dot Da Joker released a new video on Youtube and gave “Shot Caller” a remix. Nothing like a remix to make a body move and groove.

BabyB and the Wreck Squad are soon to drop another HOT track onto the streets. This demolition crew is tearing down the hip hop/rap scene and putting up a new one with their name on it. Already BabyB has released some great tracks like: “Another Zone”, “Rack City Remix” and” City Boi”. Another remix is coming out for “Kirko Bangz” and a video is currently in production for “Pull Up,Hop Out”. Keep space on your mp3 player and keep a watch for this video soon to release.

This Wreck Squad is leaving a trail of dust as they put a new face on the streets of hip hop.

Though he may be young in age, his lyrics say other wise. He is from Louisville KY , yet he is puttin some hot beats and lyrics on those mid-western streets. I have no doubts that this young rap music artist is going to take his game to a new level. Here is one of his video releases “I Don’t Mean It”.produced by Scarecrow Beats.

What do these things have in common?

Talib Kweli, Mechanical Engineer, Half Baked and The Weird Only Child Show. Well they are all things that Justin Speed has as Favorites on his Face Book profile. He is a Charlotte NC native and is known as J Speed in the hip hop music business. This young man demonstrates that he CAN and WILL make it in the music business. So much talent wrapped in this package. Here is just one of his videos that he has on his you tube channel JSPCircuit;s Channel. Be sure to add J Speed to your playlist.
