Hey Everyone good to connect with you again. It has been a very brain exhausting day. Today was about getting it done no matter what I had to do. I am pleased to announce that I have made some changes to my social media web and I am pleased with how things turned out.

Now you might be wondering what does waking up and giants have to do with my redesign of my blog, and website. Well a lot, if you know me well.

To begin with a few years ago, like pre-Y2K I went through a number of upgrades myself. Those changes began with me reading the book “Awaken The Giant Within” by Anthony Robbins. A co-worker suggested I read the book for inspiration and to help me reach my full potential.

Awaken the Giant Within

It has been through a lot

After reading the book, my thinking patterns began to change overtime. Though it was not just reading the book that made me shift personally it was my actions and choices. It was how I put action behind the words. I discovered that how I applied information was directly related to the out come of many situations I dealt with daily.

Like today for instance, I looked up a lot of information to help me configure some HTML, a few links here and there and much more. Though how I applied the information was the key to everything working out right. Though I did have a few glitches I managed to find success.

Just a few page notes

When I reflect back to those years ago and look at the challenging situations I hurdled over, I recall that the book gave me tools to make better decision. So as I asked before if we become giants when we wake up. I believe we become giant within our thinking. If you are looking for a tool to help you rethink things then click on the link above in the side bar and grab the book “Awaken The Giant Within” by Anthony Robbins. Even years later I still have my copy with highlights and all and reference it even still.

Oh be sure to leave a comment, I’d love to get your thoughts if you have read this book. Thanks!

I wonder how it turned out?

Hi Bloggers, Readers and All Who Pass Through!

Change

All Change is Good

This is my attempt at Freestyle writing. The topic is Change.

Every day I make a change. I change my clothes day to day. I change my shoes, my socks my undies. Change is consistent with all of us. Over the past few weeks I have contemplated change for my blog, website, You Tube show etc, etc. The purpose of all this is to adjust for my audience.

I am constantly reading blogs, advice and watching videos about what works, what doesn’t work and why. I get several news letters a day about tips, tricks, spins, and zings that will WoW, Awe and make my numbers go through the roof. Yet what I see is change. I see that I have to change my platform design. I must change colors, change fonts, change looks and appearances; Change style of writing and so much more. I ask is this the kind of change that is needed to be a Social Media Super STAR? And if all these experts, gurus, geniuses and specialist have the answers to online marketing then, WHY ARE MORE PEOPLE CREATING CONTENT ABOUT THE SUBJECT? [Yes I know I am screaming]

I have worked myself into a tizzy trying to make changes that may not necessarily need to be made. The truth is I just want to talk. I want to share my experiences online. I want to meet different people without leaving the comfort of my home. I want to entertain people by creating video that they like and enjoy watching on a dull day. And making a little rainy day change in the process [because that is the most I have made thus far] doesn’t hurt.  I want to help people learn something, whether it be, how to upload a song to how to download a video.

My focus when I started this project was to help artist find exposure. I wanted to build audiences for people with talent and build my own audience. Over these past months I have achieved great things. I have met people I never thought I’d even cross paths with driving down the highway.

So to conclude this freestyle about Change, I think I will change my direction, one more time. This time I’m changing to fit my desires and goal. Because truth is, no one really knows what’s going on. As long as we have fun doing it, who cares.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog. More shows, reviews and a few tutorials are on the way. So stay tuned and Come Experience Online with Quepea!

I have always been a blues fan.
Since the day I heard Ry Cooder,
and Robert Cray I was hooked.
Though I stray away from time to
time to listen to other music.

“Jungle Jim & The Voodoo Tiger”

Jungle Jim & The Voodoo Tiger LP released 2006 by James Luther Dickinson on label Memphis International Records

This album was released in 2006,
it’s not a newly released LP yet I
wanted to talk about this album
and the artist because I found a
lot of character in the lyrics of the
songs.

I came across this artist via the
Bonnaroo newsletter that was
distributed during the 2012
Bonnaroo festival.

One of the ads within the paper
highlighted Memphis International Records
and a couple of the artist
on this labels roster.

James Luther Dickinson stood out

“pianist/vocalist/
bandleader/producer/session-player/raconteur/
cultural iconoclast”

to me and I wanted to know more
about his sound. Therefore I went
to the website of the label and
came across a few links that led
to James’ music.

James has got a new album
coming out July 3 on CD and LP,
titled “James Luther Dickerson &
North Missippi Allstars – I’m Just
Dead, I’m Not Gone.”

The album “Jungle Jim & The Voodoo Tiger”
starts off with a
little patriotic salute to the “Red
Neck, Blue Collar” citizens in the
work force. We are then put inside
the cab with “Truck Drivin’ Man” to
the rhythm of a rock-a-billy beat.

The album continues to take the
listener through a journey that
lets us visually see through the
lyrics. That’s what music is
suppose to do. As I continued to
listen I was taken in by the raspy
voice, and metaphoric words
combined with a slap bass,
some drums and horns.

My favorite by a land slide, on this

"Killers From Space" Album cover

Released in 2007 on CD

album was “Rooster Blues”. A
jumpin rockabilly rhythm had me
wanting to put on a puddle skirt
and bobby socks and hit the dance
floor.

I know this album has been out
for a while yet it has some great
music that will always be a hit
years down the road.

If you are a blues and rock and
roll fan then swing on over to this
website and take a listen to
“James Luther Dickenson”. You
won’t be disappointed.

The group Alabama Shake shook the crowd at the 2012 Bonnaroo music festival in Manchester TN this past weekend. This is a newly signed band that is making their way around the music corridors and leaving an assortment of fans grappling for more. Here they perform their song “Hold On”.

Something from Nothing - The Art of Rap

Ice-T takes us on an intimate journey into the heart and soul of hip-hop with the legends of rap music.  This performance documentary goes beyond the stardom and the bling, to explore what goes on inside the minds, and erupts from the lips, of the grandmasters of rap.

Recognised as the Godfather of Gangsta Rap , Ice-T is granted unparalleled access to the personal lives of the masters of this artform that he credits for saving his life.  Interspersed with the performer’s insightful, touching, and often funny revelations are classic raps, freestyle rhymes, and never before heard acapellas straight from the mouths of the creators.  What emerges is a better understanding of, and a tribute to, an original American art form that brought poetry to a new generation.

Hello Bloggers and Peeps!

Each of us has a desire to do more, be more and succeed. This blog and my You Tube channel along with the other social networking platforms I belong to, were merged together because of a desire I have.
Over the years I have witnessed the rising of a movement. The Independent Artist Movement, or as I like to call it the Indie Movement, and it is gaining a presence within the internet world. I would like to be a major contributor to that movement.

This post is to ask you the internet world for assistance in doing just that. My mission is to grow the audience of the Indie Artist Movement. In addition create a place that gives a fresh look at a group that is keeping the world of art alive.

For many years, the Corporate Giants have tried to create a cookie cutting machine that will produce art as if it were made by robots. This is not what artistic expression is about. I believe that you can not cookie cut art in any way.

I am asking for you my followers, friends, family, and peers to help me build this community. Help by sharing my post on this blog, visit my You Tube Channel and subscribe, like and comment. Go visit my Face book page and LIKE and join a great community. Connect with me in TweetTown and follow my post. Also join me in the Google+ circle.

I have included a Make A Donation button located in the side bar to the right, for anyone that believes in supporting the cause. The reason for this button is to help me raise money for give away items. My budget can not handle all the great ideas I have, therefore I am humbly reaching out to my audience. My first wish is to purchase some novelty bracelets of 1000 @ thirteen cents (.13 cents) each. With that I will be giving away these items to attendees of various Shows I attend like the Bonneroo Music Festival, or the Local Battle of the Bands Event.

Here is a link to the company that offers these items and more. 24Hour Wrist Bands . When I raise the funds to purchase these items I will create a video and show everyone what I am doing and send out a special gift for each donation.

Thanks for your support. I appreciate all !
