I created a new webisode or webseries or what every you want to call it. Don’t go to the bath room during the video or you might miss something.

Hello WP readers and fellow bloggers. If you haven’t notice I have been on a long break. Last year when I started this blog I had a lot of goals, and high hopes. As I am sure I am not the only one.

I had to take some time and figure things out. Such as why I was doing this blog thing. What could I focus on and stuff like that. I did take advantage of my time and educate myself, as well as pimp out my skills.

So now I am going to pay some attention to my blog. But I do have a complaint.  Yeah a COMPLAINT. It’s the spammers, the fake people who leave a comment or two; the companies that leave back links and forward links and all the jazz.

I would like to respond to all that leave a comment. And I would like to connect with my audience. But the truth is I can’t filter out enough crap to do so. So if you are one of my followers and you leave a comment and it does not get posted. It’s because I could not tell who was spamming and who was not.

I know there is a program to rid the spammers, yet I don’t have extra money to spend on a none revenue producing blog. I just don’t got it. So it is easier to DELETE all spam.

Well I hope my followers understand my absence and visit this blog every once in a while. In the meantime, I will post from time to time on things I think might be worth a little more than a share button.

Thanks for stopping by for minute.

Punk Rock has not been a fav or mine, yet I never turn down an opportunity to hear something new.

Band Logo

An email was sent to my inbox requesting I give a listen to a band known as “The Velocity Raptors”. My first thought, another screaming “meme” group, but what the heck lets listen.

I must admit, I was not expecting an uplifting instrumental compilation. The band combined electric sounds that allow the brain waves to dance a pulsey beat. “Rather Nice to Listen To”

After listing to the tracks of the disography title “I, Donna” I wanted a little more. So I clicked over to “The Chuppe Life”. This 6 track digital album was filled with unique instrumentals. Not to fast, Not to slow, and at 7am in the morning did not put my brain in crash mode.

Album

I give this group a thumbs up and recommend you giving them an ear or two.
To listen to the band just click on the links below and have a listen. Be sure to leave a comment on the blog and share your thoughts.

A quick note about the band

”The Velocity Raptors are the instrumental brain child of Manchester’s own, Sean Buckley. The Raptors are valiantly fighting post rock seriousness through sprightly, punk rock inspired 2 minute instrumental pop songs. Forgotten are the damp, laboured structures of the instrumental genre and in their stead are brazen, shamelessly fun guitar licks and melodies for the less discerning music critic.”

He may not be on main stream, though he commands mainstream attention. He is the indie artist known as J’Sun.

Earlier this year he released his first original single on iTunes titled “Impossible”. The single drew some attention from loyal fans in the Youtube world and a few in Tweettown. Though on iTunes it did not break any sound barriers.

On August 13, 2012 the “Impossible” became visible. This was a joint project created by, A Martin Landgreve Film, Produced by MadisonLST, and a bit of Styling by Yusef Williams and J’Sun.

When this track was first release I was hooked. The message of the song was powerful, easy to listen to and commanded radio play.
After watching the video I concur my original thoughts of the song.

Though I was a bit thrown by the scene in the grave yard, as I did not find a connection with this scene.

The video was put togther well and sends a message to the music world that J’Sun has talent and his fans agree. Looking over the comments from his You Tube channel it is clear he has a dedicated following.

Best wishes to you J’Sun,

This is a must share article. Zachary Knight is a writer for TechDirt and posted this article today.

This is another experience that up and coming artist and producers can learn from. It is important to understand the business side of the Music Industry.

Here is a little quote from the article that sums up the importance of knowing how the money flows.

Sony was supposed to pay Baker royalties under a producer agreement, according to his 18-page federal lawsuit. But Baker says an audit of Sony’s books revealed that the music company had been underreporting his royalties by more than $475,000 for the period audited.”

The music industry is already a tough business to break into but it’s complicated even more by all the snakes, crooks and outright thieves robbing independent artists blind.

A versatile story teller with powerful lyrics fervent with allegory, Nando Chang cascades styles and topics across all genres with a multicultural perspective. Born in Chiclayo, Peru Fernando Chang was raised by his grandmother of Chinese decent while awaiting permanent residency sort by his parents in the USA. During this time of innocence, a young Nando became chiclayano.

The official video of international recording artist Nando Chang aka Chiclayano.

The video was shot in Lima,Peru by Lync Films. “Despido” or Dismissal in English is a true story of the rejection and unfulfilled promises that Nando has faced in his journey as an individual and as a Latin kid from Chiclayo,Peru looking to be the next big star from that country. The song takes a bit of controversial turn with his reference to L.A. based Mexican rapper Malverde, whom Nando once held in high esteem before as the song says “malverde never called”. Fervent with truthful lyrics and the beauty of his country on full visual display, Despido truly delivers on a major level.

In December of 2002, Nando Chang immigrated to America. Thru hip-hop, the English language was acquired. Also, during these teen years, Nando Chang became heavily influenced and involved with the speed life. Nando, and his need for speed, is an avid street racer of high powered cars and motor bikes.

As a result, Chiclayano suffered a near death accident in the summer of 2008 in which he fell into a coma for several weeks. The near death experience motivated his speedy recovery, relatively speaking. During rehab (which continues today), while unable to walk, and barely speak, Mr. Chang further developed his craft and love for rap music.

Nando Chang realized his true being and destiny as self awareness was achieved via this out of body experience. Internationally, Nando seeks respect from both music creators and fans alike and is destined to receive both. As a member of the hOLLANDjUNGLE Music group, NandoChang aka “Chiclayano” has developed a unique musical style and category in both English and Spanish languages. With full support from the village, the pride and joy of Chiclayo, Peru NandoChang ….

Indie Artist Serious730 Drops his new track and video “Grind”.

This artist is out of Florida and is lyrically letting the industry know that he’s not stopping for nothing. His latest video depicts pieces of his style and rap game. I seriously see this artist growing and becoming a force to be reckoned with on the indie charts.

The music industry paints a flashy picture. Yet the IRS don’t care if you Pay to Play as long as you Pay the Tax Man.

This video has soo much symbolism. I can’t even begin to decipher it.

I’m so confused! Does anyone know what’s going on? Either way, the songs great.

What’s your take on this video?

I personally liked the song. The video may have gone a bit far with the symbolic messages yet still good.

Back in the day of old school music and clubbing, there was a person that would stand on the stage and play songs on a turn table. Back then they were called DJ’s. The crowd loved that they played endless songs. Something like this.

DJ L Gee (Beyonce -Summertime bw Neo -Champagne Life)

Now they are called MashUPs. And the people that create these Mashups are perceived to be Musical Gods or Grand Musicians. What ever you call it, to me it’s just mixing songs other people created.

What’s your thoughts on Mashups? Leave a reply below.

In a musical world that is mostly digital notes, Mike still pounds on the drums letting the world know he is VERIFIED. His new video is a cover of the song Turn Up The Music by Chris Brown.

Are you a Reader or a Watcher?

Some people love to read. They can read books, and Magazines all day everyday. Some people are watchers. They love to watch the news, watch the latest clip on a Youtube video and such.

What makes reading so fun, when watching is so much more entertaining?

Here is a good example. USA Today released a story regarding Face Book earnings report.

Facebook posts loss on one-time charges

This same story is has been covered via a video by ReutersTV and posted on Youtube.

So are you a Reader or a Watcher. Me I prefer to watch video. I love eye candy. Reading… if I must. I guess I had to do a little reading to write this post.

Leave a reply and let me know what you like.

I have read somewhere that 90% of the people who create websites do it to make money.

Each day I get on my computer and start clicking. I look for anything and everything I can find that is entertaining, interesting, news worthy and such.

My purpose I believe is to find things to share. Tell the world about what I saw. Something like gossip I guess. Though there is also another motive behind my information seeking. Monetary gain. That’s right I said it. I blog, make videos, and surf the web for money.

Now the truth is I don’t make much. A few pennies here and there and that’s it. I look at other sites and blogs and compare what they do to what I do and wonder…”are they making anything?” I doubt that they are making a lot, unless they are connected with some large company that has hired them to be the online promoter.

So why do it? Why continue to blog, create videos, maintain websites, setup affiliate programs? I guess because deep down I believe that there is Gold in the internet. I think that this tool will be my way to a better life, a little more cash in my pocket. A lot less debt. Though the reality is…there is no gold. That’s depressing to admit.

So who is really making money online. According to financial reports some of the big dogs are; Amazon, Google, Ebay, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter. I’m not going to list them all. Some of the money made is from the consumer, some from advertisers and some a little of both.

My point is this. I either continue to help the big boys make more money or I just bag it all together. I probably won’t bag it all together, just because I like dreaming about the big pot of gold. Yet I do have a different mind set while I am doing what I love to do best. Clicking away on the internet. Until next time…click click click.
